“Play On” Review

Congratulations to the  Glengarriff  Theater group, they have done it again, given a truly fabulous performance. The first two performances were well received and attended. What great talent right on our doorstep. It was nice to see that the cast and crew are growing. Three new member’s from Castletownbere and two from Bantry.

If  you did not get a chance to see the play on April 29th or 30th, you can see the third performance on Friday July 2nd in the Parochial Hall.

Don’t miss this great performance.

“Play On !”

Directed by Jim Larner

By kind permission of Samuel French Ltd.

A play within a play is performed by the amateur actors of the Glengarriff Theatre Group.

PLAY ON! is a comedy about a group of actors desperately rehearsing a murder mystery despite constant changes by the playwright. The show details the casts disastrous dress rehearsal, all the way up to the final madcap performance, complete with hysterical sound effects that will make you laugh until you cry!

Following the play’s successful launch at the end of April, an additional charity performance will follow on July 2 at 8.30pm at the Parochial Hall. Two performances are also scheduled at the Carnegie Arts Centre in Kenmare on July 9 and 10, commencing at 8.30pm.

Tickets are 10 Euro for adults and 5 Euro for children under 14.
