Minister for Tourism Mary Hanafin TD visited Glengarriff Tuesday August 10th and met with a number of delegations representing a broad spectrum in local interests.  The delegation from Glengarriff Tourism&Development raised a number of  issues with her very pertinent to the current state of the tourism industry.  The condition of the N71 road, access signeage, commercial rates, Garinish 100, the upgrade of Glengarriff Nature Reserve to National Park status and the possibility of further F I matchfunding for promotions all were discussed.  The Minister was extremely attentive and receptive and it was agreed to keep in contact with her department to follow up on these items.
