  1. Have to say been pleasantly surprised – was expecting it to be a hassle after the quality of service with a standard phone line. Downtime is minimal and speeds are fast enough (could and should always be faster, especially uploading) however they need to upgrade the modems or the ability to use your own modem for a good wireless signal.

  2. Hi, we have Vodaphone and it is not always reliable, not bad but sometimes the streaming is broken. I have been told that the new Broadband Upgrade has come along as far as near the Dump Road, before Derrycreha. This will provide 8 gigs of speed we have been sold 3 but this is not achieved. Is the village getting this upgrade in the near future??? Thanks. Trish Bowler, Derrycreha, Glengarriff. 027 63992

  4. The Eircom broadband service in Gortroe is certainly far superior to our previous O2 broadband but can be very tempremental. Speed falls off very badly in the eveningtime and at weekends. The Digital Forge service in the village is much more reliable.
