Your prayers are asked for Catherine O’Sullivan, wife of John O’Sullivan, late of Dereenacullin, who died in Huddersfield recently.


Calls to the sick and housebound will be done this week. Thursday morning in Glengarriff and Thursday
afternoon in Bonane.

Bingo in Glengarriff hall every Saturday night!

CPR and Defibrillator Training will be provided on September 11 and 18 from 7 to 9pm in the Glengarriff Parochial
Hall. If you are interested in participating in this training please contact John Dervan at 087-9460739.  Cost is €10 to cover certification

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in Church of the Sacred Heart Glengarriff on Friday evening next from 6.30pm until 7.00pm.

Diocesan Collection for Diocesan needs will be taken up after Communion this weekend at all Masses in the Parish.

Bonane Village, Sheep Shearing – Family Fun Day – Barn Dance A very eventful day is planned at Bonane Village ( beside the Church), Sunday 26th of August. Denis O’Sullivan will set an all Ireland record in sheep shearing within 8 working
hours for under 21’s. This challenge starts at 7.30 a.m. Alongside the shearing the parish are organising a Family Fun Day, which starts at 12 noon until 6 p.m. It includes Traditional Games, Bouncy Castle, Puppet Show, Face Painting, Sheaf Tossing, Dog Show, Pig on a spit, Fully Licensed Bar and much much more. Food and Refreshments available all day. The day concludes with a Barn Dance, which
starts at 9 p.m. Proceeds from the day are being equally divided between The Irish Cancer Society and Bonane community council. For further details contact 086-0628892 or 087-9498674.
