Parish Announcements

The monthly meeting of Bantry Cardiac Support Group will take place in the New Primary Care Health Centre in the Maritime Hotel, Bantry on Tues, 25th Oct 2011 at 8.00pm. The guest speaker is Shaun O’Connor, Pharmacist, O’Sullivan’s Pharmacy, Bantry, who will go through the types of medication used for heart disease. The meeting  is open to and welcomes people who have had a cardiac event such as a heart attack, angina, had angioplasty with or without stents inserted, or who have had cardiac surgery.  For more information, please contact Catherine Cahalane 086 7871552.

The HSE Suicide Prevention Resource Office is holding a suicide awareness workshop, SafeTalk, for members of the public aged 18 years or older who are interested in supporting people who may be at risk of suicide. The workshop will be held on Monday, Nov. 14, 6.30pm-9.40pm in the Maritime Hotel, Bantry.

Parents Association Glengarriff School – Cake & Toy Sale A special thank you to all who took part in the Cake & Toy sale in aid of Glengarriff National School last Sunday. It was a great success.  Congratulations to all raffle winners. The1st prize of a beautiful Halloween Chocolate Cake made by Mary O’Sullivan was won by Sheila Jer O’Sullivan..
