Attention All Artists

The Carnegie  Arts Centre, Kenmare is running an exhibion on March 3rd under the theme  of ‘Wishful Thinking’ and we are looking for local artists of all levels and ages to participate and make paintings / photographs etc. for the exhibition. I was wondering if you have contacts for local art groups or  artists around the Glengarriff area as we would like to get the  community of Glengarriff involved too.
The exhibition will coincide with a series of 16mm films by
international artists being toured by The Lewis Glucksman Gallery, Cork  and being screened at The Carnegie Arts Centre in early March 2011, also  under the theme of ‘Wishful Thinking’.
We are calling on local artists established and emerging, professional &  amateur, young & old, and the community at large to respond by creating  artworks in any medium in keeping with the theme of ‘WISHFUL THINKING’
The Carnegie Arts Centre will hold an exhibition launch in March 2011,  on the same evening as the film screenings, giving everyone the opportunity to view both the artworks in the gallery and the artists’ films. For more information check out our Visual Arts page on our website -
